Assalam Alaykum Ustaz, one of the article of Faith is that Good and Evil are from Allah, however an Ayah of the Holy Qur’an says that when Good happen to you, its from Allah and when Evil befall you, its from yourself, please kindly analysis this.

But if they turn away – then We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], over them as a guardian; upon you is only [the duty of] notification. And indeed, when We let man taste mercy from us, he rejoices in it; but if evil afflicts him for what his hands have put forth, then indeed, man is ungrateful.

[Surat An-Nisa’ 78]

Wherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty construction. But if good comes to them, they say, “This is from Allah “; and if evil befalls them, they say, “This is from you.” Say, “All [things] are from Allah .” So what is [the matter] with those people that they can hardly understand any statement?

[Surat An-Nisa’ 79]

What comes to you of good is from Allah, but what comes to you of evil, [O man], is from yourself. And We have sent you, [O Muhammad], to the people as a messenger, and sufficient is Allah as Witness.

Looking into these collectively, you will know that, what it means to have belief in all is from Allah Good and Evil is Qodar destiny that Allah has written on everyone of us, the control of this is in Allah’s hand.
And Allah enjoys good, and promises reward for those who do it, the reward is from Allah. And Allah also prohibits evils, and warn against it, whoever does it doesn’t put the blame when the punishment comes from Allah but himself, that why Allah says:

[Surat Ar-Rum 41]

Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness].
Allah knows best.
