Topic: Indispensable explanation regarding three books of Ibn Taymiyyah.
JazākumuLlāhu Khoiron: [“One who guides to something good has a reward similar to that of its doer” – Soheeh Muslim vol.3, no.4665]
When the three sheikhs of Salafiyyah, Abdullah Bun Baaz, Al Albaanee and Ibnu ‘Uthaymeen who were all giants and contemporaries disagreed on matters of the Deen, it was easy to know by reading their individual works on the disputed matter even if it was as little as where to place the hands on rising from the rukoo’ or the legal ruling on the face veil. Once it was clear to them what a man had said and intended by his saying, no special conferences for permission were first held to reassure one another that a refutation was not being done to pull down somebody or cause disunity in the Salafee ranks even though Bun Baaz remained the exalted grand mufti of the Kingdom till death.
To all three, as to the earlier blessed scholars before them, the truth was more sacred and they were not intoxicated by their own personalities nor overwhelmed by others the fear of displeasing whom would seal the lips to maintain misconceived “salafi unity”. What colossal personalities indeed they all were till death! May Allah forgive them all.
No doubt, the uproar and discontent that greets every semblance of disagreement with any popular daa’iyah on our local terrain of Salafee da’wah cannot all be from our greater praise-worthy concern for the truth, especially when there has been no insult of any kind to the person being refuted, and more especially when it is noted that the strange principles of first holding a tryst on every item of disagreement is often violated by those who advocate it and whose personalities we often seek to massage with our misplaced indignation that ends up fanning unfortunate embers.
Truly, some matters are insignificant enough to be overlooked, but once a daa’iyah has chosen to make a big issue and point of public focus of them, they may not remain so and that may justify appropriate responses before they snowball into worse than an appropriate refutation would cause. However, we get to see the refutations before the worse evils that might follow otherwise.
To all advocates of unity and harmony, let us all meet at the ground of the truth. As far as we’re concerned, those we refute remain very much our brothers. A person does not become less of a brother by refutation as by how he takes it. May the prime position of the truth never dwindle in our eyes.

Praise be to Allah; may the blessing and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.
The issue we have with these people is that those who say they are not Ikhwaanis among them wanted to do dawah with the Ikhwaanis and we do not have the right to stop them from that as everybody is free to associate with whom they will. They can not also impose on us to accept their decision for the following reasons:
One, before those dakaatira who said they are not Ikhwaanis fully settled in Nigeria we ( in Lagos particularly) were not joining dawah with the Ikhwaanis. Every one was doing their dawah peacefully according to their understanding.
Two, the senior scholars of the Salafi dawah around the world are warning against the Ikhwaanis . Why should there now be a call here in Nigeria particularly -in the Southwest- to join dawah together with them? Wallahi, I am yet to find an answer to this. Is it to imbue the Salafi brothers with the Ikhwaani ideologies and vice versa, so that sururiyyah can be established as happened to a lot of students from different parts of the globe who graduated from Saudi Arabia. ?
For these reasons we deem it necessary and obligatory that the attention of the innocent salafi brothers who care to listen ought to be called to this marriage between as-Salafiyyah and Ikhwaaniyyah particularly whenever we recollect that we are the ones who recommended the lectures of some these doctors when they were fully back in Nigeria to these innocent brothers ( I’m speaking of Lagos). More so, it will be an act of dishonesty on our part to keep mute on this marriage because of one useless honour.
Sometime ago around 2017 one of the Nigerian Ikhwaani manhaj-ed people said,
“A series of tweets by the Ulama, the Saudi Committee of Senior Scholars, demonstrates how religion has been channelled into the service of politics”
So when we replied the author of the above statement they turned to us rather than him. The author and some among the other Nigeiran Ikhwaanis day in day out speak ill of the great Salafi scholars in Saudi Arabia and outside Saudi Arabia. However, when you refute them by qouting what living great scholars of Sunnah have said about al-Qaradaawi whose views these Ikhwaanis Facebookers are promoting, the amalgamators allege you of speaking ill of great scholars. The question is, are senior Salafi scholars such al-Fawzan and others that these Nigerian Ikhwaani Facebookers are blasting and ridiculing not great scholars? They ridicule the Saudi King and his crown prince every now and then, however, the amalgamators do not see this because they are not on Facebook and those carrying our responses to all the absurdities of these Ikhwaani Facebookers to the amalgamators did not see it necessary to also show them the writings of those Nigerian Ikhwaani Facebookers despite their notoriety on Facebook but they would show them ours.
Is that justice? Allah’s aid is sought.
