Stick to the way of the Companions

We would continue to differ as long as we subject the deen to the intellect, since our background and orientation differ ,likewise our reasoning.

But alhu sunnah, despite the distance between them. You would always see them saying the same thing, their usool is the same, waLlaahi many of us have not met each other before and we barely know each other, but when we talk, you would think there is someone dictating to us what ti say , yes we have truly have someone dictating what to say to us.

I can’t deny this fact that there is someone dictating to us that we can’t oppose, if we oppose him we are thrown out of the party of Allaah, and left to with disgrace and humiliation, who is this person dictating to us ? It is the prophet, we try as much as possible to be in line with what he brought and taught the companions, how do we know what he taught the companions ? We know through the companions, they are the ones who passed the Quran and Sunnah to us, and they did not pass it to us to bend its injunctions to the direction of or whims and Caprices, rather they explained both to us in great details , so explanation they make, we regard it as what they heard from the prophet , as long as no one contradicts them on it. So we are blind followers of the prophet alhamduliLlah, he is the one dictating to us , we would sacrifice anything to defend what he preached and left the companions upon.

As for those who follow the invented ideologies of their group, like the jabatiyyah, who follow Muhammad Ali jabata, or the ikhwanul muslimoon with his three branches who follow the delusions of Hassan Albanna sayyid Qutb and Muhammad surur , or the neo-sufi who called themselves tablighs who follow a Sufi Ash’ari man called khandalawi , and others, these people have deviated from the true guidance of the prophet, and they have forsaken the correct meaning of the texts of the Quran and sunnah for their own whims, they would also quote the Quran and hadith, but according to their own delusions and fantasy , just like the jabatiyyah groups would always claim the word of the prophet
Every innovation is misguidance “

Means all innovators are disbelievers, this is because they have interpreted this hadith in a way which the companions never did , the word misguidance encompasses sins and disbelief, so how can rbey restrict it to disbelief? The only evidence they would provide to strengthen this claim is their intellect and not evidence from the way the companions understood that hadith, but we know the companions never made takfeer on all innovators since they use to pray behind the khowarij, which shows they did not make takfeer on all innovators, .

So my brothers and sisters this is how dangerous and detrimental it is to jettison the understanding of the companions for our own faulty and corrupt understanding, people, people now bend verses and hadith to defend alien ideologies, even ideologies like feminism which originated in Europe, I have seen a Christian also trying ti defend Christianity with verse of the Quran, we should ditch this act and stick to the explanation of the companions.

In this way, the ranks of the Muslims would be united, and their hearts would be ignited, the Muslims can only stand against the oppressions they suffer in the hands of their adversaries when they bow to Islam and stop making Islam bow to them.

BURIAL IN A MOSQUE IS NO HONOR

The best honor for a dead Muslim who built a mosque is that he be remembered with supplication that Allah forgive him and accept his good deeds. That good act of his is enough honor as he earns everlasting rewards for it from the Almighty Allah.

Burying such a person in the mosque as is common in our land is an innovation. No text suggests that any grave attracts special mercy from Allah to its occupant on account of its closeness to the mosque. Worse still, it may invite people in the distant future to serious acts of associating partners with Allah (if not immediately); that is no honor to the dead.

“The Prophet forbade that a grave be plastered or built upon or sat on” (by Abu Dawud).”

He also said: “From the worst of people is the one who is alive when the Hour comes and the one who makes grave sites places of worship” (Ibnu Khuzaymah).

The scholars instruct that mosques built over graves be demolished, and the remains in graves built inside existing mosques be exhumed and buried elsewhere and it must not be in our houses because the Prophet also said:

وقال: لا تجعلوا بيوتكم مقابر. رواه الترمذي

“Do not turn your houses to burial grounds.” (by Attirmithee).

May Allah forgive our dead and grant them rest in death. Let us not dishonor them by our acts.

Sheikh al-Albāni Advises His Readers

The least to be taken from these verses and their likes is that they allow the one who has been wronged to defend themselves with the truth without infringement and injustice, as Allah, Ta’aala, said:
“لَّا یُحِبُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡجَهۡرَ بِٱلسُّوۤءِ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡلِ إِلَّا مَن ظُلِمَۚ “
( Allah Loves not public mention of evil except by one who has been wronged

And the Sunnah emphasizes and explains that, for instance his statement, sallā Allāhu alayhi wa sallam, to Aisha when one of the co- wives transgressed on her.
He said to her,
“دونك فانتصري”
(You can defend your self)

She said,
“فأقبلت عليها حتى رأيتها قد يبس ريقها في فيها، ما ترد علي شيئا، فرأيت النبي – صلى الله عليه وسلم – يتهلل وجهه”

” Consequently I turned to her until I saw that her saliva dried up in her mouth and she couldn’t reply me any more. Then I saw the Prophet, sallā Allāhu alayhi wa sallam, beaming “
Al- Bukhari recorded this in ” Al-Adab Al- Mufrad” and others with authentic chain. And it was brought out in volume 4 of ” As-Sahīhah ( 1862)

Hence, I hope from those readers not to hasten to criticize [me] for I am wronged by a lot of those who claim knowledge, some of them may be even among those thought to be with us on the methodology of the Salaf. However, if he is such, then he is among those that hatred and envy has eaten their liver as we have it in the hadith

” The disease of the people before you has crept to you: envy and hatred; and this is al-haaliqah [i.e, the shaver] which shaves the deen and not the hair” (Listen, no one should behave foolishly towards us, lest we behave more foolishly towards those that have behaved foolishly)
I seek refuge with Allāh from being among the foolish ones.”
[Silsilatatu al-Ahaadīth ad-Da’eefah, vol. 1/ 29]

In addition to what the sheikh has, I say let’s avoid abusing people as much possible when doing refutations. The Prophet,
sallā Allāhu alayhi wa sallam, said:
المستبان شيطانان يتهاتران و يتكاذبان”
( The two abusing each other are two shaitans; they talk recklessly and tell lies against each other) Ahmad reported this.

However, if one starts the abuse first, the other has the right to return it as long as he doesn’t transgress.
The Prophet, sallā Allāhu alayhi wa sallam, said,
“المستبان ما قالا فعلى البادئ ما لم يعتد المظلوم”
( [ The sin of ] whatever the two abusing each other say is on the one that starts first as long as the one wronged does not transgress. ) Muslim and others reported this.

So the one who abuses people and doesn’t love to be abused is a joker. Is either he honours himself by refuting with evidences ( even with this some people will stil abuse him) or he laces his refutations with abuses which calls for similar ones and even prevent his readers from benefiting from truth he says.

Yes, it is permissible to reciprocate, but for one to pardon and overlook is the best and this is in accordance with Allāh’s statement
“وَلَمَن صَبَرَ وَغَفَرَ إِنَّ ذَ ٰلِكَ لَمِنۡ عَزۡمِ ٱلۡأُمُورِ”
( Whoever shows patience and forgives, verily this is among matters recommended. )

However, if that increases the evil or affects the truth, then it is compulsory to reciprocate it if one has the ability to do such.
